How to get rid of Gum Stuck in your Hair?

Soaking first

There can be some cases where gum can get stuck in your hair. This can be annoying and embarrassing. It can also keep your hair from looking as nice as it can. Fortunately, you can get it removed without having to cut anything.

You will need to first soak your hair. It is best to soak it in salt water for this purpose. This water will help to solidify the gum. This will make it easier for the gum to be removed over time.

Cooling the gum

You can then gather some ice cubes. You will need to break down the ice cubes so they will be easy to control around the hair. The cubes can then be placed in a bag and placed around your hair.

The ice cubes should be held around the gum for about twenty minutes. This can be used to help with freezing the gum. This will make it easier for you to remove. It may take a while to handle but it can be useful over time.

Or heating the Gum might help

There are some cases where heat can work to treat this condition. You can heat the gum by rubbing conditioner into your gum and getting a low powered straightening iron to work in the area. Tissue paper will need to be dampened and covered over the gum. The straightening iron can then work over the tissue paper. This should be done very carefully to ensure that damages will not occur.

This can be used to make it so the gum is soft enough to be combed out. Some warm water can then be used to get the remaining particles of gum to dissolve. This is so the gum will no longer be an issue when trying to get it to work. Be sure to watch for this when you are going to get gum out of your hair.
