What is Anthrax Cutaneous?

Anthrax Cutaneous occur due to the infection of bacterium Bacillus anthracis on the cut skin. This disease is mainly occur to the animals like ships, horses, goats etc. It contracted due to the contact with animal.

Cause:The main and the very common cause of Anthrax Cutaneous is bacterium Bacillus anthracis.

Symptoms of Anthrax Cutaneous

  • Ulcer which can become black scab after some time with surrounding swelling on it.
  • Sometime fever,headache, and malaise can be experience.
  • It may cause to swollen, painful lymph nodes.

Treatment of Anthrax Cutaneous

  • The important treatment for Anthrax Cutaneous is antibiotic therapy
  • Some antibiotics such as penicillin, doxycycline, and capriole work effectively against this disease.
  • Capriole or doxycycline both are the essential treatment for Anthrax Cutaneous.
  • Capriole is of choice when suspected anthrax outbreak.
  • Treatment can take long time i.e. about 60 days.
