Wedding Make up: Beauty Care Prior to Wedding

Every woman wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. Most of the women getting married have to depend on cosmetics to bring sudden changes in them. Cosmetics may, at best, hide a few defects but they do not have the capacity to change your looks. It is, therefore, very important that you look after yourself atleast two months prior to the date of your marriage. Facials once a week will clear the complexion within two months. If the services of a beautician are not easily available in your town, apply a face-pack at home, but do not forget to keep cotton wool swabs soaked in rose water on your eyes. Here are a few important tips to enhance your beauty prior to your wedding:

•  Massage lightly with deep-cleansing milk at night, before going to bed. It gives a natural glow to the skin due to improved blood circulation. After deep-cleansing, apply nourishing cream and massage lightly. In the morning, splash icy cold water.

•  Do not use soap if your facial skin is dry. It will crack and leave white patches. Instead, use a moisturizer. If the skin is oily, make a paste with oat flour, add lemon juice to it and rub well. It will prevent pimples.

•  One month prior to the wedding, stop all heavy make-up. Better still, avoid make-up. But if you cannot avoid it sometimes, then clean it off soon. Preferably, use only herbal products.

•  Stop eating fried food. Drink honey-mixed lemon water first thing in the morning before taking any other drink.

•  It is essential that you are ready with all the required items of make-up two days before the wedding so that you remain free of tension. Remember, mental peace enhances natural beauty. If you do not get sound sleep, drink a glass of hot milk before going to bed.

•  Beautiful hands symbolise a good character. For the beauty of hands three things are essential - soft skin, beautifully shaped fingers and well-trimmed nails. Stop household chores, like cleaning utensils, washing clothes, brooming and dusting. If you must, then use rubber gloves.
