What is Acroangiodermatitis of Mali?

Acroangiodermatitis of Mali is a rare and sometimes asymptomatic disorder which is characterized by erythematous violaceous cutaneous lesions. It is composed of paralyzed limb,  Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber etc. It is mostly appears on the lower legs or on the feet. It is mostly occur to them who are paralyzed by legs and patient who are undergoing hemodialysis. Its clinically presented as papules, plaques and nodules and brown and busky macules. Pseudosarcoma kaposi is a synonyms of acroangiodermatitis of mali.

It is mostly seen in the man than woman and more cases are described in adults in adults.

Causes of Acroangiodermatitis of Mali

chronic venous stasis may cause to acroangiodermatitis of mali and other factors like arteriovenous shunt for hemodialysis may lead to the formation of arteriovenous channels.

Treatment of Acroangiodermatitis of Mali

• Oral erythromycin treatment is helpful for the patient of arteriovenous fistula from hemodialysis.
• Compression therapy is used for the resolution of the lesions.
• Combination of leg elevation and elastic support stockings is has been used to treat the patient with acroangiodermatitis, it is useful for complete regression of lesion.
• Surgical elimination of the shunts is used to treat acroangiodermatitis with arteriovenous malformations.
• Small fistulae can be destroyed by embolization.
• Latter method can use to treat ischemia and necrosis.
