What is Candidiasis Disseminated?
Candidiasis Disseminated is a various collection of immunodeficiencies related with constant candidal infections which is caused by members of the genus Candida. Infection of Candidiasis Disseminated is because of impaired epithelial barrier functions and it can occur in the people of any age. It is mostly seen in the patients who are getting treatment of cancer, immunosuppression, or transplantation therapy.
What are the causes of Candidiasis Disseminated?
Various type of Candida already remains exist in the nature, only some type are familiar causes of disease in person.
- C glabrata and C albicans are caused to this disease about 70% to 80%.
- C krusei is also important because it is less liable to fight with anti-fungal.
- C lusitaniae and C parapsilosis are important type of cause.
- C tropicalis is a important cause of this disease in the patient of cancer.
Risk factor related with Candidiasis Disseminated
- Severe trauma
- Premature birth
- Hemodialysis and Granulocytopenia
- Use of Corticosteroids and radiation therapy.
- Burns
- Recent surgery
Treatment of Candidiasis Disseminated
- Some antifungal agents like caspofungin and voriconazole are recently recommended.
- Chinocandins is one of the therapeutic options.
- Fluconazole or itraconazole these are oral antifungal therapy which is useful for infection.
- Some antifungal agents such as clotrimazole, econazole, ciclopirox, miconazole, ketoconazole, nystatin are useful.
- Drainage of blister which has been occurred is the best therapy.
- Some topical antifungal agents such as nystatin, clotrimazole and fluconazole, itraconazole are useful for the treatment of OPC.
- Daily dose of fluconazole is essential for the avoidance of recurrence.
